Caleb & Danine...How they fell in Love...
It all started with a prayer card on a good friends refrigerator. It had information about Caleb and a request to pray for his safety. Danine finally asked "who is this guy we keep praying for?" This question then turned into a group email sent to Caleb, "an actual ploy to get them to meet." That first email was followed by many more. Caleb left a lasting impression on Danine after their first face to face meeting. On leave to travel home to Oregon, he took the time to drive to California to see Danine for the first time. She was intrigue by this man that she could so easily talk with for 19 hours straight. Danine had obviously made her own impression on Caleb because soon after he requested permission from Danine's father to court his daughter. Clearly a lost tradition, but one that contributed to Danines love for Caleb. Miles apart most of the time, Danine's face lights up as she recalls the first time they saw each other after officially becoming a couple. She stepped off of a plane, to be met by Caleb's loving arms and soft lips. Ok, Ok, it is starting to get to mushy even for me. They fell in love and continue falling, even with the distance between them.
Onto Wedding Details:
Wedding Budget: $8000.00
Budget Includes: Ceremony site, Reception site, Photography, Flowers, Invitations, Decor, Food,Dj, Cake, Photo Booth, and any other wants.
Setting Priorities: Caleb & Danine really want to have all of their friends and family there so the guest list will be 150-200 guests. They also want to have the reception to be fun, with a photo booth and a dance party.
To accommodate this size of a guest list on an $8000.00 budget, they have chosen to have their wedding at a time between lunch and dinner and only serve Hors d'oeuvres. They will have their ceremony at a Church and more then likely have the reception at a community center, they will also not be serving alcohol.
Challenges This week: Finding a Church and Reception Hall that are beautiful and within their budget.
Other things that we need to accomplish: Book photographer, photo booth, Dj.
Each Tuesday we will have an up date on the planning process of Caleb & Danine's Wedding.
Next week we will find out how Caleb proposed, and what vendors have been booked so far.
