A single bloom floating over sea shells is a simple beach look.

Vintage, Woodsy, WOW

I Love vintage. My favorite thing is to mix vintage, modern and woodsy styles to create something unique and beautiful. So, you know how excited I felt when I walked by the display case at Target to see the new Dean Harris collection. These are on my Christmas wish list!
These gorgeous pieces are sterling silver $29.99 for the earrings and $49.99 for the necklace.

If you are having an outdoor or woodsy theme wedding, These are definitely accessories to consider!

Wedding Trends (Purple)

Working at a dress shop (undercover style) lets you see a whole different side into brides, and colors. Within just a few weeks I could see a trend and it's name is "Purple". Yep, that's right my favorite color is the one that they have been scooping off the racks. From lavender to deep dark purple, it is definitely in the air. So I thought it only fitting to show you some of my favorite purple.

These Steve Madden pumps are super cute and on sale for $77.00 at zappos.com

These Amethyst earrings are from Lady Lynn Boutique only $24.95

Ok this is a little spendy but oh so trendy, you can find this beauty case at Samsonite Black Label for $310.00

Even if purple is not apart of your wedding, you have to admit, it is an amazing color.

Head Table to Kitchen Table

I am always looking for ways to make the things I buy do "double duty" as I call it. If you are going to spend a chunk of money on center pieces and vases why not be able to use them in your home. With that spirit in mind I will start a new posting called "Head Table to Kitchen Table". Every first and third Monday I will show you how things that you buy and use for your wedding can be used in your home.

A good friend of mine, Christy Carrasquilla is a Southern Living at Home Consultant. If you are not familiar with Southern Living at Home, it has beautiful products for your home. The quality of their products is excellent and they are very versatile.
These are their Jamestown Centerpiece's. The next two photos are ways that you can use these great looking baskets as table center pieces, accents on a seating card table or near a guest book.

Now you can take the basket and put in your hand towels and favorite soaps, or use it in the kitchen with napkins and plates. The options are endless.

Here is one of my favorites, the Filigree Iron Candle Stand. This is such a pretty piece and you can really dress it up or keep it simple. This photo is a Tuscan look that could be used on your Head Table or down long stretches of guest tables.

Here it is in your home with a warm setting waiting for friends and family. These could also be used on a hearth, or as below shows, on a coffee table.

I will feature more Southern Living at Home products along with products from other places, like Target. Which is my habit forming shopping spot!

Do you have a great idea on how to use your wedding decor as home decor? let us know!

AppleTree Inn

It is always great to have cozy, warm places to stay. Whether you are a wedding guest or just taking a trip, a soft bed is a must.

Apple Tree Inn is nestled just out side of Yosemite National Parks south gate. Little country cabins dot the grounds that are beautifully landscaped.

Right next to the Tenaya Lodge the Inn is surrounded with evergreens and lush green pathways, making it a welcomed retreat. Depending on the time of year, room rates run from $200-$280 a night. This is a great place to lay your head, whether your going skiing at Badger Pass, visiting Yosemite or if you just need another option for wedding guests.

Last tid bit is my favorite spot, the Wedding Garden, in which a wedding ceremony can be held for up to 60 guests.
