Yosemite Destination Weddings

Congratulations to all of you newly engaged couples!

I just wanted to remind everyone that if you are thinking of getting married in Yosemite National Park you will have to have a permit. The permit application is available at National Park Services web site.

At certain times of the year you can pretty much have your ceremony any where in the Park if you have 10 guests or less. There are other outdoor locations that can accommodate up to 50 guests. If you have groups that are 35-50 people and you are at one of the outdoor locations you will have to pay an extra fee for a monitor for your group.

The Yosemite Chapel offers a great indoor location and a beautifully simple setting, the Chapel accommodates 125 guests.

Reception locations are limited, there is only four locations in Yosemite National Park to hold a reception. Unless, you want to eat pizza on one of the Park benches! Which would totally be fun. The Ahwahnee, Yosemite Lodge, Wawona Hotel, and Curry Village, all have space for a reception.

There are some awesome locations just outside of Yosemite's South gate to facilitate your ceremony and reception as well. Using these facilities allows you a bit more freedom in your event and your guests can still enjoy the splendor of Yosemite.

Need help in your wedding adventure, shoot me an email, Roshel.

You can also get a free wedding packet at Yosemite This Year.
